Adventure Story Hike
March 15 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Join Musser Public Library’s Mr. Taylor on Saturday, March 15 for the next Adventure Story Hike on March 15 at Wildcat Den State Park!
Please meet at the lower picnic area before 9 am for a story, and then walk and experience the interesting rock formations and the forest. Some entrances to the park and roads within it may be closed until the weather warms.
Distinguished by natural formations such the Devil’s Punch Bowl, Fat Man’s Squeeze and Steamboat Rock, Wildcat Den State Park in rural Muscatine dates back to 1928, when sisters Emma and Clara Brandt donated the original 80 acres. The park has now grown to 420 acres and includes the still-functioning 19th Century Pine Creek Grist Mill located on Pine Creek, built by Benjamin Nye in 1848. The structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The park is also home to the “turn of the century” one-room Melpine School House.
