Henri Rousseau was a French Post-Impressionist painter in the “Primitive” or “Naïve” style. Primarily a self-taught artist, Rousseau claimed he had “no teacher other than nature”, and indeed a majority of his works depicted jungle scenes and botanical gardens, despite never having left France. Channel your inner painter by creating a jungle scene in his style – backwards! Reverse glass painting involves painting the foreground first and adding layers of paint to give the finished product a three-dimensional look.
