Please join us for the February Luncheon at the Musco Sports Dome. The catered meal from DeBord Catering will be turkey breast with gravy on the side, green bean casserole, whipped potatoes, fruit salad, cherry fluff, and drinks (lemonade, tea, and water). Our February speaker will be Mayor Brad Bark. The charity we are supporting in February is the Muscatine Humane Society [MHS]. To best support the health and well-being of the animals, the MHS has asked that food donations follow their specific brand and flavor guidelines. Keeping animals on a consistent diet is very important and helps prevent stomach upset and other medical concerns. Most needed items: 33-GALLON TRASH BAGS, LAUNDRY SOAP, LINT ROLLERS, MR. CLEAN MULTIPURPOSE CLEANER, PAPER TOWELS, PURINA ONE ADULT CAT FOOD (no seafood flavors), PURINA ONE ADULT DOG FOOD, PURINA ONE KITTEN FOOD (no seafood flavors), PURINA ONE PUPPY FOOD, SCOTCH BRITE HEAVY DUTY SPONGES, SMALL BOTTLES OF HAND SOAP, SPRAY BOTTLES, TOILET CLEANER, and TOILET PAPER. MHS truly appreciates all donations. Following these guidelines helps ensure that contributions can be used right away and provide the greatest benefit to the animals in their care. At $15.00 per person which may be paid by cash or a check made out to “Newcomers”, we offer an AMAZING value for great food, great company, and great entertainment. THIS LOW PRICE IS ONLY ACHIEVABLE WITH OUR VARIOUS FUNDRAISING EFFORTS THROUGHOUT THE MEMBERSHIP YEAR!! If you have not already done so, please be prepared to pay our annual dues of $20.00 for the 2025-26 membership year.

Reservations: To attend, please RSVP Yes by 5:00pm on Friday, February 13th.

Childcare: Provided for $5.00 per child, please add a comment with the RSVP stating your child’s name and age. Please drop your children off at Wesley United Methodist Church, 400 Iowa Avenue, between 11-11:30am. Please pack a lunch for each child. PLEASE NOTE: Infants up to six months of age are welcome to accompany their mothers to the luncheon site.

Cancellations: If you need to cancel, please contact Erin by email (muscatinenewcomers@gmail.com) OR text (847-927-9027) BEFORE 8:00AM ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16TH. Any cancellations after 8:00am will need to pay for the cost of the meal. Someone may bring your payment and pick up your meal if you are unable to attend.

**Muscatine Newcomers & Friends Club holds a monthly social luncheon. It is held on the third Tuesday of the month from September through May.
