Did you know that mussels can filter up to 15 gallons of water per day?!?  These little guys play a huge part in keeping our water clean and the Friends of the Fishport Hatchery have made it their mission to educate the public on the important history of this research station and the work being done here to combat water pollution and the overexploitation of the mussel population. Come join us as we celebrate the GRAND OPENING of the brand new Educational Pavilion that will be the centerpiece of the Hatchery’s interpretive trail system!
