An introduction to home winemaking. $50 cost includes six separate lessons outlining the different basic parts of the process: inoculation, monitoring your fermentation, finishing the fermentation, racking and protection, clarification and stabilization, and final adjustments and bottling. Please note a winemaking kit is not included and must be bought separately. If you would like assistance in finding the right kit for you, I would be happy to help.
I will be using mead as an example batch, but the process is similar for many fruits and wine juices.
Participants are encouraged to purchase their own winemaking kit to follow along, but it is not necessary. Please reach out if you need help sourcing a kit, but Midwest Supplies has a good range of kit sizes from 1 to 5 gallons.
