Please join us for the October Luncheon at ISU Extension Muscatine County. The meal catered by A Guy & A Grill will be a BBQ pulled pork sandwich, au gratin potatoes, baked beans, seven-layer salad, and a pumpkin dessert. Gluten-free options available, please note on your RSVP.

The charity will be Muskie Locker. The Muskie Locker is located inside Muscatine High School [MHS]. Each week around thirty students receive bags full of food and snacks for the weekend. This incredible space contains food, hygiene products, clothing, supplies and much more that are available to any student at MHS. The Muscatine community has been extremely supportive of the locker. Along with the MHS Special Education team who ensures the locker is open each day. Please consider making an in-kind donation to Muskie Locker. Their current needs are BODY LOTION, CLEANING SUPPLIES, DEODORANT, HAND LOTION, LAUNDRY DETERGENT, ORAL CARE SUPPLIES, and WARM SOCKS. Thank you.

At $15.00 per person which may be paid by cash or a check made out to “Newcomers”, we offer an AMAZING value for great food, great company, and great entertainment. THIS LOW PRICE IS ONLY ACHIEVABLE WITH OUR VARIOUS FUNDRAISING EFFORTS THROUGHOUT THE MEMBERSHIP YEAR!! If you have not already done so, please be prepared to pay our annual dues of $20.00 for the 2025-26 membership year.

Reservations: To attend, please RSVP Yes by 5:00pm on Friday, October 17th.

Childcare: Provided for $5.00 per child, please add a comment with the RSVP stating your child’s name and age. Please drop your children off at Wesley United Methodist Church, 400 Iowa Avenue, between 11-11:30am. Please pack a lunch for each child. PLEASE NOTE: Infants up to six months of age are welcome to accompany their mothers to the luncheon site.

Cancellations: If you need to cancel, please contact Erin by email (muscatinenewcomers@gmail.com) OR text (847-927-9027) BEFORE 8:00AM ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 20TH. Any cancellations after 8:00am will need to pay for the cost of the meal. Someone may bring your payment and pick up your meal if you are unable to attend.

Final RSVP by Friday, October 17th. **If you are needing to add your RSVP after 5:00pm on Friday afternoon you need to text Erin, the 2nd Vice President, to tell her in person. WE NEED TO GUARANTEE FOOD FOR YOU AND IF YOU ARE BRINGING A FRIEND, YOU MUST PUT HER NAME DOWN ON EVITE.
**Muscatine Newcomers & Friends Club holds a monthly social luncheon. It is held on the third Tuesday of the month from September through May.
