Get festive for a good cause! Support Friends of the Muscatine Art Center by attending the Family Festival & Market and be among the very first to purchase ornaments from the Heartfelt & Handmade Ornament Competition. Ornaments purchased during the event will be available to take home that day. New this year is the Family Festival & Market which includes a vendor market, studio crafts for kids, photos with Santa, and a free-will donation hot chocolate bar. Proceeds benefit Friends of the Muscatine Art Center and educational programs at the Muscatine Art Center. Sponsors include HNI Corporation and SSAB. The Family Festival & Market will be held Saturday, December 7, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, free admission.

We are also seeking artists, crafters, and craftsmen to participate in this year’s Ornament Competition. Your donation of handmade ornaments and holiday decorations will be exhibited at the Muscatine Art Center and sold to raise funds for the cause. To participate in the competition, visit www.muscatineartcenter.org/artists to download an entry form. Ornament submissions due by November 1st. A panel of judges will award prizes with first place receiving $100, second receiving $50, and third receiving $25. Through public voting, a People’s Choice Award of $100 will be given. You do not need to enter the competition to enjoy the Family Festival & Market. Submissions will be on display November 7th through December 6th.
