The Jackson Concert Series presents Wanees Zarour, Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 2:00pm. This is a free concert and is being presented in partnership with the Quad City Arts Visiting Artist Series. Zarour is a Palestinian-American multi-instrumentalist. He directs the Middle East Music Ensemble at the University of Chicago, co-directs the Chicago Immigrant Orchestra, and leads ‘East Loop,’ a septet that explores the intersections between the maqam and jazz traditions.
